This Cam Newton Saga just gets better and better.....
And now the NCAA has set a precedent for all future "brokers of child athletes"...
It appears that earlier this week the NCAA has ruled the Cam Newton was ineligible due to the actions of his father... However, Auburn University appealed the ineligibility and asked for reinstatement on the grounds that neither Auburn nor Cam knew about his father's actions.. The NCAA then granted the reinstatement and since Cam didn't play in any games during his ineligibility period of 3hrs, everything is cool..
WHAT THE HELL IS THAT???!!!
Since when is the "I didn't know" speech a valid defense? AND just how does a father "shop his son around" without Cam knowing, even after Cam admittedly said he wanted to attend MSU over any other SEC college? Oh and Cam just happened to go from hearing about the closing of his father's church to signing with Auburn and all of a sudden a check from God appears and all repairs are made?? Gimme a break.... Polish it however you want, it still smells like shit....
Now the SEC has ruled that all you have to do as a star athlete father is tell your kid to sit in the other room while the grownups talk and close a door and ask for money.. So long as your kid doesn't have first hand knowledge all is good...
So for all the great high school athletes that don't want to wait for the pros to recruit you,
LET THE BIDDING BEGIN!!!!
Such bullshit.... totally ashamed of the NCAA for this one... and all the writers that are saying "the NCAA got it right" are low on morality also....
