Some things are not for actors to discuss....

I've sat idly by the past two weeks as the Will Ferrel post on youtube has been viewed over 2 million times and has been reposted by countless other people. If for some reason you live under a rock or in a cave with Osama and haven't seen it, here it is.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezOexCpydQ4

Now all the democrats are applauding as the idiots in Hollywood cheer about how great this video is...
Since when is it a crime to make money in a capitalistic society? How many executives of these insurance companies actually have a petting zoo versus the number of insane entertainers?
Granted, I do believe if these millions the execs make are being made due to negligent and wrongful denial of claims simply to boost revenue for their companies, then yeah, they should be put in jail and hung in the town square. (We really need to debate getting back to public hangings by the way)
However, if it's legitimate earnings then my only concern is regulations. If we regulate the amount they can make, then maybe we will have more affordable insurance premiums.
At this time, though, that is not the discussion.

The discussion is.......

HOW THE FUCK DOES WILL FERREL THINK HE HAS THE RIGHT TO TELL ANYONE HOW MUCH MONEY THEY CAN MAKE???!!!
I mean seriously people.. How does he make more in three months of work on a film than the insurance execs make all year and have the balls to question them? In the three months it takes to make a movie, he TEMPORARILY hires a couple hundred people while these insurance companies hire thousands nationally. He doesn't provide benefits for these people like the insurance companies do, he hires contractors responsible for their own. So why not employ the people he uses on his films on a full time basis? Give the a salary and benefits, 401k? I mean really, its not like we don't see the same actors in all the films anyways, so chances are the behind the scenes crew is close to the same.
Even if this thing manages to pass (which the first try failed earlier today) Will's 20% contribution to the cause, although monetarily much more than mine would be, would be a lot less detrimental to his livelihood than it would be for mine.
Ever notice how every time the deomocrats propose something idiotic and the rest of the world calls them out on it, Hollywood explodes with some dumb shit?
Half the people in the youtube video said they were going to move out of country if Bush was re elected... So, why the fuck are they still here!!!

Realistically, we have become a nation of Boobtube people that idolizes Hollywood and the movies allowing them to dictate what we perceive to be truths rather than fiction.
Did anyone catch that Hollywood released "Commander in Chief" in 2005 just after Bush was re elected portrayed a women president. Shortly after there was a lot of hype with Hillary Clinton running in 2008?
It was a simple test to see if America would accept the thought? Even through they claimed to have number 1 ratings they ended the series after the second season. Their test failed. America didn't want to think about a woman president no matter how many times they name dropped Hillary Clinton.
Now we have Obama. Who i believe won simply because he is an eloquent speaker and a great politician. He can make the masses believe what he says, then go to another state and say the opposite and make them believe. Now he is in office and all that he promised is crumbling... Attempts to create more government agencies when we cannot control the ones we have are failing. His foreign affairs strategy sucks and he is now avoiding the very Generals he put in place. Obama had an answer for everything and now we have nothing going right.
So, what's the best answer???
Why it's Hollywood of course?
Let's take some of the attention off of the OBVIOUS things that are wrong and pick on capitalism. But only pick on the segment they disagree with. Movie companies make more every year IN PROFIT than any insurance company. How about they stand up and match the "TAX" that they want to impose on everyone else.
Why don't we regulate how much they can earn, or cap the salaries or payouts; including bonuses and residuals, that an individual actor can make?
I don't understand how they were quick to bail out banks that charge us out the ass for fees, car companies charging way too much for a vehicle, and airline companies that are ridiculous with what they charge us; but can feel ok for making anywhere from 2 to 100 million dollars for three months worth of work....

Why do we even give them 2 million hits on such an idiotic thought?? Trusting Hollywood with our political beliefs is like asking Drew Brees to do open  heart surgery on you... Sure he's a great quarterback, but, chances are he shouldn't touch the surgery room.

We all like entertainment, but, come on!! Let's have $1 tickets and free popcorn!!

If we are going to be a socialist country, let's do it all the way.....

Hollywood.... I say to you...   PAY UP! or simply SHUT UP!

A Robbery In Starkvegas......

Again, the national ranking numbers seem to be misleading and given to unworthy teams.  LSU having a national ranking of number 7 did not look like a ranked team in a poor performance against the Bulldogs of Mississippi State.
In their fourth game of the season, the Fighting Tigers of Louisiana State meandered into Starkville only to get beaten everywhere except the scoreboard....
Everyone who knows how big an LSU fan I am, knows just how hard that is for me to say, but sometimes "the truth ain't pretty".
Offense on both sides of the field looked amateurish at best and if not for the brilliant and overworked defense of both teams, this would have been the worst game of the season. Never anything but a close game, the tensions were high as I watched the flip flop of downs and scoring drives slowly develop keeping MSU within striking distance at all points of the game.
The Mississippi State Bulldogs, with a little more work, will definitely be a force to be reckoned with this time next year.
LSU's lackadaisical performance in all of their games make being a fan difficult to say the least. The offense historically has been slow to start but as of late seem to be slowly halting.  The fire of the Tiger's of the past few years seem to be lost and confused.  Every component needed for the offense to be brilliant and dynamic are there, however, they have yet to become a cohesive unit with clear leadership and drive.  Most plays seem to slip by with obvious miscues, misdirection and miscommunication.  The shining moments of individuals seem to be the only thing giving the Tiger's enough advantage to pull off wins in final moments of the game.
The capitalization of LSU on turnovers by MSU were key as was a FANTABULOUS goaline stance in the fourth quarter by the LSU defense. First and goal on the 6 inch mark the defense was able to shut down the Bulldog offense and keep them out of the endzone! That series alone is worthy of a yearly highlight reel and an ESPY. Brandon Lafell's two touchdown receptions showed that the offense is able to pull off wonderful plays and the talent is there when they focus and work together.  Chad Jones was phenomenal with a 93 yard return for a touchdown! Though he looked winded and exhausted as he crossed the 50 yard line, Jones zigged and zagged his way around and through a plethora of mistackles making LSU's special teams unit shine...
There is definite talent on the LSU team.  They need a direction, a rhythm, a leader. Heading into the heart of the season, having the most difficult of all opponents yet to be faced, someone must stand up and take control of this offense.  The defense will not last having to go through this punishment week after week.
All in all, a fan of either side, win or lose; everyone got their money's worth on this game today.

It will be listed as a win in the books, albeit an ugly one to say the least.

S. Carolina gets their Nutt as Ole Miss chokes on the Cocks..

I know, but hey, the headlines write themselves...

In any event,  Ole Miss storms into S. Carolina with a nationwide ranking of Number 4...
This ranking comes having only played against Memphis and Southeast Louisiana coupled with the hype of how Jevan Snead was a Heisman candidate having not even taken a snap last year due to a transfer.
Since when does hype and sports writing about hypotheticals justify a national ranking? I have never understood the way they come up with who is supposed to be number 1 prior to the season starting. Florida is ranked number 1, and you know what, THEY SHOULD BE!! They are the defending national champs and should be number one until they are beaten. However, after LSU won the national championship they were not ranked number one going into the next season?? A defending champ should always be number one until they are defeated. That's just common sense. Let them lose a game before taking away the title.
In any event, tonight's pathetic performance of athleticism by Ole Miss simply makes a mockery of the national ranking and the people that pick the Heisman hopefuls.  Jevan Snead did not look like a junior quarterback much less a Heisman candidate, turning in a pathetic 7 of 21 for 107 yards!
Garcia on the other hand was 16 of 34 for 220 yards!! For a quarterback that nobody respects and was supposed to lose with HOTTY TODDY crew storming into town.
So all day I have been getting messages from my eager Hotty Toddy people who knew they were going to win. Statements of "Cock, it's what's for dinner" and "It's Time for Ole Miss to Beat Cocks"...
Really people? Did you read this before you sent it to me and really see what you said?

The reality of it is Ole Miss spent too much time dwelling on the number 4 and forgot they had to play football. You waited until the fourth quarter to start running like you had to, throwing like you needed it and gaining yards and breaking tackles.
Your arrogance that you carry around on campus and the attitude that you are better than everyone followed you to Columbia and that very same arrogance showed on the field.
Were there bad calls? Most definitely! The refs were pathetic tonite! But it happens. Everyone gets bad calls, but don't whine and get pissy... Step up and play.
Now I have spent some time in Oxford over the past two years with a project I'm working on and quite honestly, it's a beautiful town. However, when it comes to football, leave your arrogance in the mirror when you leave your room. It was very obvious that the team thought they won the game before they took the field and because others said they were great, everyone else would just accept it.

The Gamecocks were unranked and had absolutely nothing to lose. Ole miss had everything to lose and tonite you lost it.

Everyone knows I'm an LSU fan and far from a Tim Tebow fan, but everytime he takes the field he plays from whistle to whistle and is very passionate. Tebow never acts like anyone OWES them the game. He plays everyone equally tough.

Tonite Ole Miss did not do that. Next time you get a national ranking, earn it and leave the arrogance behind.
Someone needs to really explain to you all what being a champion means. What being a champion takes. And especially, how a champion acts.

Ok.. Still trying to figure this all out..

Over the past several months we have all heard plenty of talk about national health care programs.  I have read countless pages about the different plans to fund it and today I was thrown yet another curve ball in trying to figure it all out.  I watched several different news stations about the plans and read a few different pages about the "new" way to fund this and again; I find myself wanting to slap the shit out of someone!!
The newest plan is to force all people to buy affordable health care insurance or be taxed for not having it??? Now who decides what the word "affordable" means? Well, the president does! The numbers being thrown out there are that the word "affordable" equals 15-20% of ones current pay. If you buy this "affordable" plan, you are fine, if not you will be "fined" a fee of up to 20% of your pay to cover the expense of your own health care treatment.  Kinda a catch 22 eh? Now for those that can afford this, and do their part you are safe as the rest of the country will be paid for by a "luxury tax" on what the Obamanomic people are call "top tier" insurance plans. Those are plans people currently have that cost in excess of $6500 annually. So if you pay extra for your insurance to have lower deductibles, copays and more benefits; well, you're going to get taxed on top of that to pay for the crackhead sitting on the corner.
As if that isn't already a bad idea; you also have to understand that this tax and plan will not go into effect until 2012 or so and with the increased premiums being raised at the historic levels they have been; if you currently have a plan that costs $4500 a year, chances are by 2012 you will be paying $6500 or close to it and over 75% of the nation will be paying over $6500 in premiums in the next five years, thus making most of us carry the burden of the extra tax on the insurance premiums we are being forced to carry.
This whole idea just baffles me and the fact that we can not get any straight answers as to what he (Obama) is actually proposing just pisses me off!
How is it he can sit down and sign a bill saying that credit card companies have to have a full disclosure not to exceed one page in length but we have five hundred plus pages of circle talking about how we are going to finance this program. He also changes his story every day on television depending on what group of people he is in front of!
We have many programs in place to help those in need... Currently the government has slowly bankrupt all of them by mismanagement of the funds and by allowing those that don't need them to use them as a way of life while denying those in real need.  How about fixing the programs we have before we start another program we can't run?
Also, let's focus on the other issues of our tax money and use those funds properly... Acorn??? HELLO?!
Oh yeah, you don't want to talk about ACORN since you have ties to that, but you want to investigate the CIA for things done in a previous administration...
Wasn't your platform run on this whole "I'm not going to look back on the previous administration and its policies.. I'm going to move forward. For CHANGE"?
Yet you are dwelling on the CIA and the practices it used during the previous administration.
You argued and complained about the policies in Afghanistan and Iraq but have yet to give them a clear outline of your policy of there. And now you are trying to silence the general over the war in Afghanistan. A general YOU put in place.
Everything you seem to touch or talk about gets clustered... Say something. Stay with it. Follow through and DO IT!! EVERYONE WILL NOT LIKE YOU FOR IT!! It's the presidency sir, not a popularity contest.
Someone once said, "if you don't make enemies, you have never stood up for something in your life".
You can't please everyone.
Start being the leader you said you were. Just do it and don't look back..
Hell, you couldn't even call Kanye a jackass without taking it back. And he is a JACKASS!!

Just another Rainy Day In Jacktown...

It's gotta get better... It's gotta get better... It's gotta get better... It's gotta get better... It's gotta get better...

Ok, that's all for today...
